Oadby Town missed out on a dream Third Round date with Liverpool on Wednesday, when Leeds United proved to have just too much for them at Topps Park.

The non-League team held the visitors in the first half of the game, but United upped the ante in the second half to set up their clash with the three time winners of The FA Youth Cup.

Leeds opened the scoring less than ten minutes into the second half when Tom Elliott cut in from the left flank to strike home.

Welsh youth international Sam Jones then added a second with a long range effort which hit the underside of the bar and bounced home.

The win was secured with ten minutes remaning when Aidy White was first to the ball at the near post to turn home and United progress.
